A man whose vicious beating by multiple suspects on the 16th Street Mall was captured on camera disappeared before police arrived and has not been located.
Police who investigated the beating at 10:56 p.m. Wednesday at 16th and Stout streets have also been unable to identify the suspects, said John White, a Denver police spokesman.
On video captured by a resident from his fourth-story apartment in the area, a man could be seen running across the median of the mall before being tackled and beaten by multiple people. The man was sucker-punched twice after he was knocked to the pavement immobile.
Police responded to the call, but by the time they arrived there wasn’t any large group of people around, White said.
